Ashley hertz
owner + Curator
Ashley Hertz has always had a love for great design. She has worked in the local tile and stone industry since the age of 19, honing her approach to design with Bozeman, Montana vendors before purchasing Onyx (formerly under the banner of Fantasia Showroom) in the fall of 2017. She brings the best of tile – both performance and aesthetic – to tradespeople, architects, designers, and homeowners in Bozeman and the Yellowstone region.
Erin beaudoin

Erin brings over 20 years of experience in the Design industry to Onyx Studio (between stints of professional, full time momming). She strives to intertwine her professional and life experience to add to the richness the Onyx team offers our community. A seasoned professional in the Design industry, Erin has quickly embraced a love for the functional artistry of tile and is fascinated by the possibilities of the immense offerings of materials and artisans.

Senior SALES & design consultant
Tricia Seitz-McGlynn began working with tile in the fall of 2000, and quickly the tile industry became second nature for her. Tricia holds a degree in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, and Management. She is enthralled, at a deep level, with tile’s artistic and mechanical essence.
AVERIE SKILLESTAD
SALES & design consultant
Averie holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management and Associate’s in Interior Design from Montana State University. She previously worked as a design consultant in furniture and home decor and is now a sales and design consultant at Onyx. Averie’s favorite part of her role is the challenge of helping clients connect their functional and aesthetic needs and using materials in new and exciting ways. “I love when clients come in with a very loose idea of what they want and I’m able to help them fall in love with something that is greater than they envisioned.”
ALLIE THOMAS
PROJECT ASSISTANT
After originally going to school on the pre-med route, Allie realized her senior year she wanted a career more suited to her creative calling and graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration. She spent the next 4 years working, learning, and exploring the Interior Design world where she eventually found her own artistic abilities. In 2022 she took the leap to move from Arkansas to Montana in pursuit of a creative, art filled life and has been painting masterpieces in her spare time. In the Project Assistant role, Allie appreciates that she is able to assist clients in matching functionality with their interior creative expressions. She believes that a home full of color, uniqueness, and unexpected touches hold beautiful character.
Meghan Dyksterhouse
PURCHASING & Logistics team lead
Meghan completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing from Montana State University in 2016. From there, she worked and gained experience in the advertising, marketing and tech industries. She joined the Onyx team in 2019 where she manages the purchasing and freight logistics and also assists with marketing efforts.
SAWYER EVANS
PURCHASING COORDINATOR
Born and raised in Atlanta, GA Sawyer grew up in the south with her heart out west. After graduating from Montana State University with degrees in marketing and psychology Sawyer found her passion helping small businesses grow and reach their potential. She brings her love of organization and efficiency to the Onyx team helping manage the purchasing and freight logistics.
COURTNEY KATES
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
A UCLA graduate and former ballerina, Courtney spent 18 years in the fashion world overseeing both creative and business as well as founding and selling her own line of women’s luxury sleepwear. New to Bozeman by way of Spain, Courtney has a total obsession with marble and a passion for all things design. At Onyx she leads business development and is a jack of all trades when needed.
GUS CHISHOLM
STUDIO SUPPORT
Gus is a Bozeman native and current Montana State University student. As the son of both an Interior Designer and an Architect, he felt immediately at home in the designed environment of Onyx. In the Studio Support role he manages sample inventory, facilitates incoming and outgoing deliveries and oversees storage at Onyx's warehouses.
